Inspired by the layered sandstone walls of Kings Canyon, this flat amulet is shaped in parallel folds that read like rock strata, holding time and light in its surface. Each amulet is a small body of light: a fragment of landscape cast in metal, made to be held. Part of my current body of work grounded in biophilic design, it is an invitation to stay in contact with the forms of nature, which are known to help calm the mind and restore attention.
